BTLG obtains attorneys' fees and expert costs for client

in a rare finding of bad faith

Columbia, MD—October 15, 2005— The Business & Technology Law Group obtained attorneys' fees and expert witness fees totating $14,286.50 on behalf of a client whose claims were wrongfully denied by an insurance company.  The court found that Allstate Insurance had not properly investigated the claim and wrongfully denied payment. Based upon a finding of bad faith, the court made a supplemental award.  The original judgment amount was $8,400, but the rare finding of bad faith caused  the court to award the additional $14,286.50 over and above the original judgment amount.  Allstate has appealed the decision.
