Maryland Minimum Wage Increase 2018

Beginning on July 1, 2018, Maryland’s minimum wage will increase from $9.25 to $10.10 an hour.  Employers with employees in Montgomery County and Prince George’s County must also ensure compliance with the higher established minimum wage for those counties.  As of July 1, 2017, both Montgomery and Prince George’s County increased the minimum wage to $11.50 an hour. Employers are required to conspicuously post notice in the place of employment of State and County (if applicable) minimum wage. The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation has provided posters for employers to utilize in order to satisfy this notice requirement.
